Adolescent IOP & PHP

Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)

The Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is based in a therapeutic environment that fosters honesty, integrity and empathy. We believe that this facilitates the development of open communication through which teens can grow in self-awareness. IOP meets Monday-Friday at the time when most teens are out of school. Adolescents are fed dinner nightly and participate in several process and psychoeducational groups. Adolescents participating in the program have access to a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for medication management if needed. RIM does not treat teen substance abuse on an outpatient basis but we do provide psychoeducation during our group sessions on substance abuse and the effect it has on mental health.

Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)

Adolescents who complete an inpatient stay but who need additional support and structure to reintegrate into their social environments are “stepped down” to the Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This program provides a setting in which clients, family, and staff work together to solve problems that were not able to be resolved at home. Our program encourages the communication of open and honest feelings and responsible behavior. PHP meets Monday-Friday as well. Adolescents are fed dinner nightly and participate in several process and psychoeducational groups. Adolescents participating in this program have access to a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for medication management if needed as well.
